I'm not sure why people were so mad at the style he played with. Yes he took s long time to decide on his plays but that's what he was Hopi to get verbal tells out of people by taking them out of his comfort zone, benger kind of had a meltdown on him, was it that serious to go on a big rant, negresanu does the same style get you talking into a call or feel you out with body language

TD did not handle very well as for enforcing actual rules, but with so many people complaining there was a lot of pressure to do something. Threatening to extend taunting penalty to 2 rounds if he kept talking and later threatening a 3 round penalty that late in the tournament seemed out of line to me.

Sure, he was annoying and took more time than the other players, but as he said this was the feature table in the biggest event of the year with less than 20 players left, a little time should be allowed. Most players deep in a $10K event are experienced enough that his tactics would not be very effective but if he wants to try to get information out of his opponents where is the problem?

His antics got blown out of proportion by his table-mates especially Gordon Vayo telling others he got a penalty for making a Stacy Matuson cry at another table. And to claim that anything he did was verbal abuse, like Benger did, was beyond ridiculous and he came across as a drama queen whether it was an act to get a call or not.

Overall interesting to see his side of the story and what he was disappointed didn't get covered enough etc. Thanks for posting! :)

He's good, but it does not exclude the light of madness

I can't believe anyone would take his side of this issue. he was an absolute ass at the tables and if that was his strategy, I'm glad my Canadian boy busted his ass. I believe in fair and respectful play, but if he tried that with me I'd call him out and do the same thing. Maybe some day i will play at his table, "bring it on"!!!

During the interview , when Kassouf is talking , why is he on '' fast forward '' ?? :D just kidding

if it was an interview for a newspaper , how many pages it would fill ?

I don't know , but if he was on my table for sure he would have made me nervous/angry .

I'm trying to have patience ,there are others who talk and they know when to stop , but it's the fast way he talks , irritating if he keeps talking at you aggressively , very impolitely all the time with this tone all alone by himself.

Moreover two minutes or more every time to think/decide , oh man , all these he does it on purpose , it's phychological warfare .

If everybody on every table was doing all he does he wouldn't like that for sure paulsmall007 ...

The problem I have with Kassouf is not his talking. It was the unnecessary tanking on the most obvious poker decisions.
Yeah, poker is a psychological game and sometimes a little gamesmanship with the talking is perfectly fine by me... But when you have 33 against a 20BB reshove as he did on day 6... At what point is a 5 or 10 minute tank fold ever necessary or acceptable?
The KK cooler he had is a little more tolerable for me, but after days of acting as he was, it was obvious nobody at the table was buying into his information fishing and it just seemed like a guy who was hamming it up for the cameras in a situation where he can never ever fold.
