Strange, not one comment from the UK contingent regarding the governments plan to tax poker winnings at a flat rate of 15% begining in 2014.:eek:

they've been trying to do it for a while. Remember a story regarding william hill and Ladbrokes because they operate out of Gibraltar they only used to pay something like 5% tax instead of UK Corporation tax which is where most of their clients are.

Live in another country therefore does not affect me! but no surprises me! Would have to see what that percentage is based exactly!

That would be horrible....
so am i right in assuming any site/bank transfer will be taxed as a working wage 85.00 payed to the £100.00

In my oppinion its worse for us, because we have to play mainly in dollers so we have to play at a higher level to make a living.
where is in USD + countries 2k a month is 2k a month, 1500 a month for us is border line give or take with added tax 1500 becomes 1275
