Dwan wrote this morning on Twitter that had just suffered the biggest losses of his career. He did not specify the amount, but it is the biggest loss of his career has to be way too much. Nor was told where such suit, but everything points to the high stakes games in Macau.

According to HighstakesDB, last week, Dwan won $ 70,000 playing online. Discarded Internet, we can only live poker and no place in the world where you move more money than in the former Portuguese colony. Neither Las Vegas or Minsk, the cod part in Macau. In addition, the tweet he sent from Taiwan Airport, so it seems that leaving the Asian continent to recover from the wounds.

Regarding the amounts must be 2 million onwards. If this is the biggest loss of his career, has to be over 2 million lost to Viktor Blom "Isildur1" in a single session in 2009. If we consider the 4 days we were playing heads up Swedish and American losses would exceed $ 3 million.

It's not the first time that becomes bare Dwan StarWorld Macau Casino. In 2011, a trip cost him 2.6 million and considering that boats can reach Macau, they say, to 4 million, it is not surprising.

Real fun game, poker until you bump into a player richer than you who does not mind risking what to him is loose change.

When you are playing those stakes you understand that. The thing that is hard to grasp is how much is money bet on each hand. One pair could win or lose you millions. I don't understand how people play that high without going crazy.

I think they can play like that cause to them a hundred thousand is like a hundred dollars to us, it's all relative to how wealthy they are ..........scorp

So, tom 'durressssed dwan, hahaha, the youngin got his titty in a ringer. He's just a wannabe that won any winnings by pretty much stealing it. He probably had to change clothes after that session. I would say he'll looking for a grub stake soon LOL.

Well, I remember in one interview he said that Macau is the place to be now and he wants to play only those (very) high stakes games..... I guess one can also lose.

But then again, he will probably still sleep well :p

I feel sorry for Dwan if he lost so much money but even if I dont play high stakes tournaments and I am normal poker player - I still know that sometimes no matter how good you play it doesnt matter if the opponent has more luck for getting better cards and if he is able to make his hands stronger with 98% probability... than you can play aggressive and do your best but still it is not enough to win in the end... You can do two things after this - go home and never play again or rise up and dont repeat mistake you made no matter of reward. Only future will show if Dwan will risk again in Macau or not...

If you don't have it to lose then you probably shouldn't be playing to begin with. I bet he had it to lose. Sure it is a lot of money but they call it gambling for a reason.

3-4 million is nothing vrs someone that is worth Billions. Doyle wrote about the pros in LV playing vrs Billionaires, they have the ability to take your roll very easily.

Poker Math:

(How I felt the last time I was felted) * 100,000 = The likelihood we are to hear details of the beat.

Macau has always been a place where the stakes are just insane. Dwan is not the first and certainly not the last that we will hear of losing inordinate amounts of money there.

Yeah well unless Tom Dwan own's 100's of Taco Bells for example then 3.5 Million is going to dent into his abilities to continue feeding the high stakes ballers up in Macau

I like that Taco Bell. I was in the U.S. recently and had that $5 meal that included a taco, burrito supreme, a drink, and a crunchy thing. Quite decent really. Good road trip food. OK slightly off topic.

Dwan has a unique aggressive style where he wins and loses big. With the stakes that he plays at I would be not surprised if he lost like $5 million or more. He will be back though. Cannot quit on one downswing.
