Application for relief regarding section 12 of the Quebec Budget Act

In this decision, the Commission suspends consideration of PIAC's application concerning section 12 of the Quebec Budget Act,
which would require that telecommunications service providers in Quebec block access to specific on-line gambling sites.
The Commission also confirms its preliminary view regarding the interpretation of section 36 of the Telecommunications Act.


It should be a good news for online poker player in the province of Quebec :) :)

I know it is a good news but you know that Quebec won't give up that easily.

They may no be able to block IPs to the gambling sites but they will make it illegal to use them.

Some sites will simply withdraw from Quebec; others will probably try to get a valid license from the Government.
