agreed, online poker is in a severe decline. If you look at any poker room online these days you will almost alwyas find a sportsbook or casino attached to it.
Not many how much it actually costs to get new players to a poker room. Sites make way more money on casinos
and books than they do with poker rooms. Ill have to find the information and post it, but it reads something about how the amount of money spent on bringing in a new poker player versus a casino is about 50x as much
More and more sites are adopting a no reg policy as they dont like people cashing out. Party Poker
, Bwin and all the major rooms excpet PS have some type of systme to keep regs out. Whether it be severe limits on cashouts, limiting amount of tables or even to go as far as Everleaf did when they wouldnt let you play at certain tables if you won over X amount.
The Gold Rush is certainly way behind us, but there is still money to be made. I expect another boom once the US legalizes it
