H2 Gambling Capital released a study today showcasing the positive economic impact of legalizing all forms of Internet gambling. The report indicates that replacing prohibition with a regulated environment will create close to 32,000 jobs and $94 billion in gross expenditure over five years – showing that the industry has the potential to contribute to our nation’s economic recovery.

An article from the Hill has more.

Very interesting!
However, what I can tell from the article, it's not for a lot of countries.
I mean, it's made in the UK, so I would think that it's for the UK only.
A country like Denmark (that's where I live), wouldn't get that much out of it. Well, probably a lot of psychos creating accounts all over the internet and ruin our poker play, but that'll happen no matter what.
I'm thinking, to legalize online gambling in a country, the given country would need a plan to "control" it. Since the economic crisis is still upon us, we can't just go take a loan in a bank or elsewhere, without getting in big trouble.

And the bank can't afford to give the loan because they need the money as well.
So the given country would need a plan so that the people in that country wouldn't go broke. (All the ludomanians (or what they are called. To be addicted to gambling)).

True!
But if they want online gambling to be the way out of the economic crisis, then they have to think further than they usually do :)

I think they will legalize marijuana before they legalize online gambling.
