I made a thread here some months ago to tell you about the new portuguese law that would make online poker legal, and would make poker websites to have to buy a license and pay taxes in order to let portuguese players access their tables.
PKR and Coral Poker are now down for all portuguese players, unless we want to play for play money. Although I'm not 100% sure, I've heard NetBet Poker is down too, and 888 Poker is thinking of following through this as well.
And the biggest sad story yet, last night, PokerStars announced they will shut down real money tables for portuguese players starting next Monday. However, poker stars assured players that they have every intent of getting a license (although it's not guaranteed). For those of you non-portuguese people, you can read it here https://www.pokerstars.eu/portugal-players/
No comment has been made on the fate of Full Tilt, but the word around portuguese forums is that, due to such a low rate of portuguese players in there, it will probably shut down too.
So you won't be seeing much from us for a while.
EDIT: Probably shouldn't have opened up a new thread, this would fit nicely into the old one, albeit I don't think it would reach as many people as opening a new thread, and the subject at matter here is more specific. However if mods see this as a bad call, sorry :/
EDIT 2: Word is in that the goverment will only start selling licenses by mid- to late October. It also seems Full Tilt is considering fighting for the license after all.
