Interesting to see that only 0.3 percent of pokerstars players are playing more than six tables at once. And that leads me to think one thing: It seems that the last remaining grinders are with their days counted.

Playing more than 6 tables at once is just playing BINGO

Good luck on learning how to play good poker when you play a lot of tables at the same time. Might as well play Bingo ..

I will agree to let people play they way they want to - my issue could be those who play multiple tables lose the flow of the game for others, that's when we see a lot more reckless play. If you can adjust, then it doesn't really matter, I suppose.

I personally don't really care. For now I am choosing to avoid the cash games. I do wonder if it will help decrease bots.

I'm not sure how this leads to more reckless play? Care to explain? (I'm guessing you are meaning that because of some of players who are playing a large number of tables, they might be taking longer to act occasionally and as a result this may cause some players to lose their patience and play more recklessly due to frustration?).

Personally I'd be okay with a table restriction to maybe 10 tables for cash game but perhaps 20 for tournament play. To ensure multi-tablers aren't holding up games the site could just reduce the allotted time to act. Also, if a player times out more than once, they could be booted from the table.

I'm guessing that most who are playing a lot of tables at the same time have already learnt how to play quite well.

It doesn't matter actually cause pokerstars has killed the game for cash regs.
Cash players look for rakeback, rewards & lower rake when they play & ps have been removing all of those concepts step by step which has made quite uninteresting to play there.
I for one am one.
So it doesn't matter they bring forth a table limit cause not many regs play there anymore

Ya I personally don't care how many tables people are allowed to play, but if this would help cut down on the botting situation than I would be all for it at any site. I have never played more than 8-10 to 6 wouldn't change a whole lot for me. Sit and go players would probably be the most negatively affected group

Yes. This could cause those who are not running out the clock or playing multiple tables, to lose patience.

This is not new to Pokerstars. I used to practice multi-tabling on their PM tables. They've been capped to 6 tables (might have been 8, I don't remember which it was for sure) for a long time.

The only hiccup with it is that it takes a little time to log you out of a table, so If you close a couple you have to wait till you can get back in to the full number of tables that you want to play.

“The fewer tables each pro can play, the fewer seats per table will be occupied by pros, and this will positively affect win and loss rates for everyone,” Galfond explains in his blog post.

I agree with him ..)))
I think it will speed up the game ....

Yeah Bovada/Ignition has had this forever. Although you can play more MTTs at once (I forget the exact number) but cash games are still capped at 4 tables.

I also believe Bet Online has a table cap (8 tables?).

I don't necessarily care if a site has table caps or not. And I disagree that many tables significantly slows down action for others (people on Bovada/Ignition routinely take up nearly all the time to make a decision and that's at a 4 table cap!). So I don't think the caps will do much to stop the tanking and slow decisions. If anything mass multi tabling players who are good at it tend to make quick decisions not the other way around. Besides mass multi table players are easy to play against, just c bet more against them :D

I do not play on many tables because they currently use Android.
And also, I do not have real money.
I'm new to this world and I'm enjoying what I'm seeing !.
Competitiveness moves the market.
