Read a little about this. They could probably own poker on the east coast if they do it right with the casino. Interested to see how this plays out.

yep dont hold your breath, with these bozos in washington dc and at state level you never know what will happen. im still betting them finding a way to take a good thing and screw it all up.
there were some legislatures last year in the wonderful state of Kalifornia that wanted to tax poker as high or higher then the horse racing industry. yep they've come close to ruining the racing industry with some of the highest tax rates and you guessed it, over regulation.
this is my fear, hope im proven wrong.

The more mainstream a company like pokerstars becomes, the better it will be for the online poker industry in the U.S.

Wow. With legislation only at a state level here in the US, some states may eventually allow online poker. As other states, would never let it. ie- Texas. the governor has vowed to veto any bill about online gambling or building any casino in the state. There is NO casinos in the state of Texas, and wont be one probably in the very long future. The liberal states may be able to bank on this casino idea for pokerstars, but at a state level, one state outta 50 isnt gonna cut it for me.

Sounds wonderful. I used to play PS and had money left in my account. Look forward to it, if it happens.

I think this may be a toe in the door, but dept. of justice will watch every little move they make, but still I am hopeful. Maybe it will have a snowball effect.

I'm really hoping this happens and that we get poker back all together with the big sites like poker stars and fulltilt. I play the US friendly sites now and they're just not the same at all. Plus I still have money tied up in fulltilt that I'd eventually like back.

What i dont get is why people care so much. people should have the right to do whatever they want to do with their own money. just tax it and get it over with. who cares? if my neighbor was a crackhead, then thats their business. i dont care how much crack they smoke, as long as it doesnt affect me, im good. and playing poker never hurt anyone except for the losers at the table. and that was their choice to play!

I like the way you think, very good point. But if your neighborhood is a crackhead you probably don't live in a very nice neighborhood lol... just sayin

ReptillianAgenda you are wrong, there is 1 casino in the state of Texas, Kickapoo LuckyEagle Casino in Eagle Pass. I live 2.5 hrs drive from Kickapoo Casino.
