Despite coronavirus lockdowns being in place around the world, poker players in the UK and Europe have been taking part in home games. Most players are on board with that message as activity online has surged in recent weeks. However, it seems there are still those that can’t resist putting more than their chips at risk.

Hi Shell.

Well when I first saw this news item at the top of the home page on the forum, I thought "Well the old bill have been caught out playing a Home Game with the rest of their shift". That's just me being me.

I would point out to all members, that unless you all live in the same house or flat, (no not the same block of flats), that you should not be meeting up for card games. There is no need to do that, you are only putting your friends and your families in danger. Play on the CC events which are ongoing all the time. For instance the Stay at Home Games on the Home Games club on Pokerstars!!! See here for details ---------> Stay at Home Series .

Good luck all.

Hi there.I don´t understand yet why there are still people that behave that way...Why don´t they play online poker instead until the pandemia is controlled? Our families are by far more important than any game.

I saw 5 lads yesterday zero who lived in the same house utter joke.
I heard one say "well it won't affect me" yeah, it doesn't matter about the others you could infect though eh or the fact that it could infect you as it picks no age limit/sex/ race or religion.

Personally, I think anyone flouting the rules to the point that fines done work should be either electronic tagged for three months or chucked in a cell.

If they are meeting up for parties or to play poker then they are utter selfish arseholes,
The same people happily stat at home before the virus, but now they are told to stay at home they start being idiots. a few months inside will save thousands of lives yet they only care about theirs..

we are almost back to normal here in Croatia and anyway it looks like a flu to me, i know some healthy middle age people who had a virus and they didn't know during that time so were out in a shops, restaurants, sports and everything, just stayed at home for two days with temperature and after they found out that their friends having a covid 19 they were tested and were positive so had to go in carantene, crazy, when they were just max influencious they were outside with people, so it's just nothing and probably most of us already have it, king is naked and that's it, stop this nonsense.

People in the UK have been keeping to the lockdown rules, despite the highlander few. Yet now reports are coming in that the cases and deaths are dropping within the community and going up in the hospitals and carehomes, they feel it's time to get back to work and try to kickstart the economy. I have my own opinions regarding this virus and it's particular hotspots and superspreaders. Having had a brother in law die OF the Cov19 in hospital a month ago, I am suspicious...

It's pretty safe to say, countries around the world have pretty much the same demographic of rule keepers and rule-breakers - hopefully, we can all come out of this much more aware of the state of world health and the level of importance.

I'm so sorry for the passing of your brother-in-law. RIP. :(
