Really sad news. Watching him presenting the WPT was one of my first encounters with the game. I believe he did a lot for the game as well. Only found out he had cancer a few days ago. RIP

loved his talk with Johnathon little about losing millions betting on sports and making millions and missing out on hundreds of millions with his party poker stocks. Also loved hearing stories of stu unger from mike who was close to him as well.

rip mike sexton.

Such sad news but I was afraid when the news about his cancer just got out last week that he must be in his last few days. :(

He was a legend who will be missed by the poker industry and players.

A very good commentator and amazing poker player, I watched him play at the WPT Montreal when he got his WPT title.

RIP Mike. I was actually just watching the 2006 TOC and since he was one of the founders of the TOC, I kind of hope they have a Mike Sexton open when poker returns live as a TOC every year. I think it could be a cool concept. On of the great losses in the poker community

So sad to hear the news. I read Mike's autobiography “Life’s a Gamble” a few years ago, it was a fascinating story of both old-school and post-Moneymaker poker worlds, with a special insight into his friendship with Stu Ungar. I would definitely recommend the book.

RIP Mike

This is very sad news. I watched the world series of poker Tournament of Champions 2006 yesterday. Mike Sexton has the lowest pair on the Board with a hand of 73 and reveals Mike Matusov's bluff at the final table. And now I see this news today. Mike Sexton is a style icon in the poker world. I think I'll leave this record for nostalgic memories.
