Actually the video is very good. He has some great insight into dealing with a downswing.

Yeah shows the variance in poker, even from the best.

Great video on downswings I agree, he seems like the type to deal extremely well and therefore another reason for his great success.

Will watch this later. Really like Phils attitude and he's obviously a very talented player. More proof that PokerStars is rigged imo. :)p)

100/200 PLO means $20,000 is 100BB so $600,000 is 30BI?

What am I missing?

I can't help but feel for Phil ....But whatever ..he's Phil and with no time at all he'll be blasting back, making more money in a couple of hours than I'll ever make in a month.

PLO being the biggest game of variance by far. He said practically over a day and a half in the span of two different sessions.

Also could have been playing deepstack, who knows.

I Highly recommend watching the video.
I was getting my feet wet at carbon seeing how the players play seeing how the tables ran. Trying to figure out how to find sng's and tourneys to my liking and ended up losing $20.80 out of my original deposit of $25 in 5 days of play I was really depressed cause I usually win enough to keep me in buy ins. Then I opened up cards chat this this morning and saw the post and watched it. ENOUGH SAID

He had to leave his apartment slide behind so he could move to Canada and play again,

USA and playing on Stars?
Read the post above.. (LOTS of US players have moved to other countries to play online).

Haven't watched the link yet but do know that Phil Galfond was the big winner for the week ending Jan.20th, with profits of $299k. Doubt he's doing too bad.

Well, PO watch the link. He busted his whole Stars roll in two long sessions. He's not hurting in real life or anything but he is most definitely down for the moment in poker. He admitted to busting his Stars roll in the video.

Thanks. Nice video. Amazing how he talks about losing $340K in one session and then another $340K in another one like if it were 340$. This guy must have a LOT of money.

But why would he play with 30BI? It's clearly not his whole roll because pro players use good BRM. If he only had 30BI he'd drop down to a level he has 200-300BI.

I find it hard to feel sorry for some one with 2mill up and a slide in house...

But its nice to see he's human, he bleeds! wtf?, also makes me realise if by the grace of god i somehow ever get near his stakes i would never play nosebleeds even if i had the oppurtunity and with omaha on top of it......**** that

I love the guy mind hope he starts winning so i can see a good movie on him in a few years with a happy ending, i dunno why but his voice like barry greensteins, is like an instant tilt cure for me.
