Nevada's Gov. Steve Sisolak announced at his weekly press meeting mandatory face masks when entering a poker room and many businesses as he attempts to fight the spread of COVID-19 in the state. Statewide coronavirus cases have been on the rise since the casinos reopened June 4 and the Governor needed to take some steps in hopes of controlling the spread.

Face Masks Now Required in Nevada, Includes Poker Rooms

I think wearing masks until a COVID-19 vaccine is viable and available and everyone that wants the vaccine has been immunized. Safe distancing is also a great option. Reducing the length of continuous playing time will also help. If players aren't getting adequate rest, their immune system will not be optimal. No more 12 hour sessions please. Be well everyone.

Mike's rants seem like they are written by someone on drugs.

Does he contest the mandated wearing of pants? Shoes?

Well - it certainly earns him some attention.

This was a total mistake. Opening the casinos was a terrible idea. The corporations put the responsibility on the consumers to protect themselves from each other. That was never going to happen. Have already accepted the fact that I wont be able to gamble in person for the foreseeable future, hoping most people feel the same. GL

Well the fact that new cases are on the rise was predictable ... many people will continue to act in ways that are against their best interest, they vote that way, they take care of their bodies that way, ( guilty of that one myself for many years, but I am doing better with it now ) they drink and drive, do hard damaging drugs that make them a danger to society .. and these people all think they have the freedom to do so .. at least that's what they claim, they want to wrap it in some political crap about free speech ....but their freedom ends when it effects mine or my family's lives, or other peoples lives .... I am just glad some people are trying .... at the end of the day you have to be smarter than the tools you are working with ..... and right now there are a lot of Americans that are making that task a fail ...

I think it is the minimum that we should do to try to prevent the virus from spreading but not only with this virus, but with all the diseases that are transmitted from person to person.

seems very logical to have people wearing mask when sitting so close to each other indoors. People who don't want to wear mask are just selfish and only care about themselves imo.

Opening a casino during a pandemic is a risky business and I think it’s the wrong decision. Strict quarantine, masks in a dark room are not an option:puke:

Every governor in almost every state should be mandating masks in all public places.

Right now, this is one very BIG way the virus will be under some level of control. I wear a mask to protect others - simple enough, right?! Some people need to be a little more aware of the reasons something as simple as wearing a mask and being mindful of social distancing, may help flatten the Covid curve.

My Cancer Doctor told me how he looks at wearing a mask, the mask protects the other people from you as much as protecting you. ... I guess that would be true considering some people can be infected and not have symptoms.

I think live poker and coronavirus is really bad combo. You are touching your face, ears, nose, eyes when you are tanking, then you touch those chips. This gotta be much worst at spreading than going to the bar.
