I am so disgusted by this "nonsense". There is nothing, no data, only opinions of medical people who have been wrong about everything. NO, I will not wear a mask. In fact, I have actually put enough money aside to be able to go out to Vegas this year. Those plans have been burned.
taken from the article in the first paragraph-
There is one exception to the rule, however: if barriers are in place, face coverings aren’t required. This rule also applies to poker.
I'm not so sure that the medical people have been wrong about everything (this is a new one on them too but they definitely know more about diseases that spread than the average person. Covid-19 is about the most contagious that we have ever seen) but there are some things they are erring on the side of caution and this is one of them. What's the issue with wearing a mask during these times? It won't last forever, will it? I don't understand. In my opinion, it is very evident that this virus is not done with us and it has been suggested to take every precaution to try to combat the virus among us.
I personally do not see a single thing wrong with wearing a mask at a poker table, even if there are barriers in place. I'm not that vain to cover my nose and mouth at the very least even though I don't have any intention whatsoever to attend any live poker for a long while. I do not get sick that easy but I wouldn't be itching to find out if this could make me sick or not. To me, it's not paranoia but it's just common sense. I have way too much to live for.
My comments are not meant to be offensive in any way but it is my opinion.
