I can't go, but for those of you who will be in Vega on June 30th, it would be great to show your support, meet some of the pro poker supporters, and get some questions answered.

Hi everyone!

PPA is going across the country to meet with the poker community to share all that is going on. The next event is in Las Vegas, during the WSOP!

==============================
PPA Las Vegas Town Hall
http://theppa.org/ppa/2012/06/21/me...-and-linda-johnson-at-the-ppa-wsop-town-hall/

Please join us for a special PPA Town Hall meeting at the WSOP ™ featuring PPA leadership and U.S. Congressman Joe Barton. Meet Greg “Fossilman” Raymer and Linda Johnson, the First Lady of Poker, on Saturday, June 30th, starting at 12:15 pm in the Belize Room (map).

This free town hall event will include a discussion of the issues facing the poker community in Nevada and across the nation. Executive Director John Pappas, Vice President of Player Relations Rich “The Engineer” Muny, Director of Grassroots and External Affairs Drew Lesofski, and Nevada State Director Lupe Soto will also be on hand to answer your questions regarding your poker rights.

Be sure to make plans to attend this important meeting—and please don’t forget to tell your poker buddies!

Special Guests: Key poker supporter and sponsor of H.R. 2366, the Online Poker Act, Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX), Greg Raymer (dependent on tournament schedule) and Linda Johnson will attend the PPA Town Hall and they are looking forward to meeting you!

Location: Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino
Belize Room (map)
3700 West Flamingo Road
Las Vegas, Nevada 89103

RSVP: nvtownhall@theppa.org (RSVPs are not required, but please try to let me know if you are planning to attend.)

This is a great opportunity to meet your PPA representatives and to get the latest information on the poker legislative landscape. I hope to meet you there!

P.S. The first 25 people who show up will receive a free PPA t-shirt! Everyone in attendance will receive a free PPA patch. We will be providing light refreshments as well.

Joe misspoke the online poker Bill #. It's HR 2366.

I was busy going deep in the Ladie's event so could not attend - but did have a nice chat with Rich at the Rio.

Great job. That definitely trumps any other plans you might have had.

Watching the video was made me feel hopeful and discouraged and disgusted. Hopeful that it seems something has to get done, discouraged that it seems like such a battle for what seems to me to be a no-brainer, and disgusted with our political system which is so clearly broke.

I empathized with the guy in the audience who was so frustrated with the whole thing. Here we are, lobbying for bills to strengthen the UIGEA (which is BS), bills to restrict our right to play non-US sites (more BS), etc. when all we really want is for the government to get the hell out of the way, repeal the UIGEA, and give our damn money back.

If they want to put in regulations to protect consumers, require age verification, etc., fine---but do it while we can play in a free market place.

OK rant over. I know we are stuck with the screwed up system that we have, but I had to get that off my chest.

Hi TF. Yes, we'd definitely like just to be left alone.

Unfortunately, it's not a problem with the system. It's working fine and is reflecting the desire many have to shut this down :-( That's why it's up to you, me, and the community to keep pushing back for our rights. I'm glad you've been part of this the whole way. I hope more will follow your lead.
