The Hall of Fame is not just for poker players - it is also for media representatives. Here is the criteria - see the last one:

  • Played against acknowledged top competition
  • Played for high stakes
  • Minimum age 40
  • Played consistently well, gaining respect of peers
  • Stood test of time
  • Or, for non-players, contributed to overall growth and success of the game (with indelible, positive, lasting results)

Did you read the bolded qualification - I used the word media representative which can mean a lot of different things - but don't split hairs over that.

He is definitely worth considering.

I doubt they would induct two non-bracelet holders in the same year. As such, if forced to choose between Matt Savage and David Sklanksy, I would give the nod to Sklansky.
