No, only real actors are expected to be in this film. Those whose top 5 performances include "Gigli" need not apply.

And although it would be a tough sell to see them back together, Ed Norton is quite possibly the greatest actor of his generation, starting with his ridiculously good debut in "Primal Fear"

Aren't you being a bit hard on Ben...wouldnt you do Gigli if JLO kept you company for a year?......plus he has two oscars ( albeit non acting ones)

And Yes Ed can be manic so it would be good to see him too

And lets not forget John Malkovich and his oreos...

Anyone for Cookies?

Rounders 2 is going to be set in Vegas with Mike having made a living as a pro, now trying to get used to the new style and the online world (that he has to leave the state to play - unless they skip that truth)... just read up on it a little and you will see. No place for KGB in that world, and would take a major stretch to see worm, either. As for Ben, I hope not.

And no, I'm not being too hard on him. The ONLY excuse that he can have is that he has been on film MANY times under the influence. But the amount of coke that John Stamos did or the amount of Heroin that Dane Cook and Dave Matthews did and on and on all seemed to HELP them more than HURT them, so I'm not buying it.

I think he's just absolutely terrible as an actor. Like legitimately doesn't even understand how it all works. Good for him (probably Matt's idea) to do Project Greenlight because it was a good premise to "shine the light" on the bullshit of Hollywood... and then turn around and do exactly what Hollywood always does, except in this case every project was a bust. The world did get Shia LeBouf as a present from all that, so, ya know.

But no, Ben has put together HOURS of footage of him now showing that he may have absolutely no skills whatsoever.

As far as his "accolades" I've said this before and it's in my book--

The first Oscar for writing Good Will Hunting: It is WELL KNOWN that what the two of them wrote was a non-starter and had to be seriously re-written to be what it became. And YET, they gave no credit whatsoever to the person who actually DID the writing when they graciously accepting their Oscars.

Second, Argo. I have no problem with the film, actually, or his performance in it. But, honestly, Blue Ivey could have directed it and put her father in Ben's role and it still would've won.

Intersting backstories to the oscar Nutcracker...

Bad acting hasnt stopped numerous actors before getting the part...

Lets face it Ben and Matt , have starred together, are best buddies, love working together and love poker..........so Im afraid odds are in favour of at least an Affleck cameo

KGB --- If youve had a successful film with John M in it , you wouldn't wish to drop him in the sequel.......theres plenty of potential story-lines for Russians in todays poker....as KGB is underground I could see him as leading a of young hackers either hacking the game online .......or hacking the email of the politicians that oppose online poker

And Ed Norton too ----- they wouldn't wish to lose so they'll find a way of keeping him in

I think unfortunately Affleck is the most likely inclusion, which could ruin the whole movie. You're either not aware of what happens when you leave your life behind to go to Vegas alone like he did at the end of the movie. Or you are aware and don't think the Hollywood bigwigs will be cognizant of that fact. I'd think that'd be wrong to assume. The two writers are bigger fans and more connected to poker than any of the movie's stars. They know what's up.

Yeah I think he will be there too ....Hell be knocking Damon's door down to be in it...

Dont count out Norton or John M.......they both have strong followings and the writers would be mad to leave them out

Frankly, Norton and John M are a far stronger combo than Damon/Affelck

It's a nice thought, but I don't see Rounders 2 being made because there has to be a minimal amount of drama, a villain and interaction between the players.

I can see a rounders 2 with Norton with a surprise appearance at the end as the new Kenny g setting up rounders 3.

Plot and location would be key

In all honesty the first movie excelled because of it's underground theme and dark New York characters. You take a new movie that's bright colorful and in Vegas and I just don't see how it could be done even with new actors and returning cast right?

My story would start out in the underground new York right where it started off followed by a police raid.. It could go from there establishing worms character being on the run and involved with drugs and the mafia all the way to the top! Once Mike mcdermot has to bail out a friend or so it seems? It could offer some plot twist with worm helping out Mike in a big way midway in the film. Either way top pro's and underground game is a must here as main stream wsop events would be a bore..

I understand that hope springs eternal, but realistically this film is unlikely to happen. Consider that Rounders made a modest profit of $29mm. Cheap to make horror films like The Last Exorcism, Darkness Falls and Ouija all had smaller production budgets and made a lot more money. $29mm would likely not cover the stars current salaries . . . even if they took points on the back end.

Yes, every once in a while someone like Matt Damon says that they would consider doing Rounders 2; but, every week Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announces interest in a project that never materializes.

Just on fiances alone, this film is highly unlikely to go into development, much less production. To quote the film The Godfather, "It's not personal, it's business."

Cheers!

Yeah it would be sweet to see Rounders 2, but the odds of it happening is slim. Sigh, hopefully a miracle happens and it's gets made.
