Maryland passes law to allow table games at casinos
I live in the MD suburbs of DC and this ballot initiative was the costliest one in Maryland history. The two sides (Penn National and MGM) spent $100 million on the campaign.
Penn National operates a casino in West Virginia
, MGM is the operator likely to get the new resort style casino in MD.
I think all this takes effect Jan 1 with a new casino opening in Baltimore that will open with table games, then the other MD casinos
can add them. The new casino won't be open until 2016.
One of the casinos is about 20 miles from me, the new one will be 10 miles the other direction.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR POKER!!
Maybe Merson will be the poker celeb at the casino 20 miles north of me, that would be less than 10 miles from where he used to live.
