Man vs. Machine: 4 Pros to Play Heads-Up against Super Computer

Doug Polk, Dong Kim, Bjorn Li and Jason Les will each play 20,000 heads-up hands against a new super computer called Claudico. Who do you guys think will win?

At no-limit holdem I think that the proos should come up with a profit, for sure.
Compter will play pretty straight-forward most of the time, but it won't have any info regrading its opponents... while the proos should already know the computers's style of play and should know how to take advantage of it :/

If it can't bluff then it isn't playing poker is it? It may never bluff but it has to be able to or it is just cards, not poker IMHO.

I've been watching this a lot. Some really weird river bets by the computer. Overall very interesting.

Proos ended up winning overall for a huge amount of chips I think..

I think people will beat the computer. Mashine have no chances against human mind in this game. But... Technologies getting better every day, so tomorrow they can beat us. And than SKYNET will start the war...

think the machine can beat most, but against those guys think the machine was a big dog

It is all over now with the humans ahead collectively $725,000ish with only one of the four having a losing total and the humans overall taking a 9 BB/100 advantage.

I think it would depend on whether it was a cash game or tournament style of play. With tournament style, and increasing blinds, I think a machine will eventually be able to easily beat humans. It doesn't have an ego.

The pros won just, see link at the end of my post. I don't know that we should be alarmed if we consider that poker was always a game designed to test human skills. A computer has no nerves, no psychology so obviously purely on math skills it will be hard to beat.
