I don't know if any of you are following the Lock Poker debacle, but those scumbags have reached a new low. They have created another site called SuperWins.eu and are trying to attract new depositors with a 200% sign-up bonus and crazy rakeback numbers. I downloaded the software. It looks exactly like the Lock client with just new color schemes. They are also running the same games as Lock. They claim they are on the same Global Platform as Lock but are not related to Lock. What a crock! Please help spread the word that this is yet another attempt by those crooks to steal money from more unsuspecting players.

I don't have any money on lock, but I was on there this morning looking for freerolls and notice a super high stakes table, think it was 1k/2k nl with pokerlsart and livboree sitting there playing. fun to watch.

Why would that be fun to watch? (it's basically the same as watching them play with 'playchips').

Lockpoker is run by a bunch of crooks who only has an eye for stealing as many funds as possible and get away with it. How come that Curacao can allow them to run an operation where they pay people out at a rate where they will never actually finish paying them? How come they can open a new poker site under the license and continue their little scam? And let's just for laughs say that they are truthful this time and it is simply a skin, how the f*ck can Lock open skins on a network when they have 0 funds?? I simply don't get how the poker industry can be so messed up.

LOCK still hasn't honored my withdrawal and it's garbage like that which gives the anti-poker groups ammunition. Thats what is going to make legalizing online poker so difficult in the end. So how do we remedy the situation when theres rogue sites ripping players off?

Haha, this is pretty low indeed. Thanks for letting us know about this, though just taking a look at this website I instantly connected it to LockPoker so alarm bells did start to go off.

Also, people saying LivBoeree is playing there - I don't think that's her. She's sponsored by pokerstars and I think her contrast limits her to playing just there

I don't think there has been a payout at lock for the past three month. Craziness. They are taking deposits from peter to pay paul...but wait, they are not paying paul actually. So they are just taking deposits from peter and paying themselves....

It is because of the American Government's refusal to regulate online poker that Americans have been scammed by companies like Lock. If we had legitimate poker sites in teh USA that we could play on, a lot of us would not ahve resorted to depositing with shady companies like Lock.

I hope they start regulating online poker in the USA soon.

while there is no strict regulation those scumbags or others like them will be attenting to scam the online poker fans/players
Just be safe and play at credible pokersites at least so far

I actually made a deposit on Lock Poker a couple of months ago, before I had heard about their reputation for not paying out. I asked some of the players there how payouts were (as I always do once depositing on a new site.) and I couldn't believe what I heard. Out of ten people that answered me only 1 of them claimed to ever have been paid. And he reported that he didn't receive anything until almost two years after requesting to cash out.
The most amazing aspect of all of this to me though? That these people are still playing there! Even depositing, after experiencing firsthand that Lock gives them the finger instead of a check when it's time to get paid.

These are the people who NEED to be ripped off. The way I see it, If someone asks to borrow a thousand dollars, then pretends they don't remember owing you any money when you request payback, then asks you to loan them another thousand, and you do....You aren't qualified to manage your own cash, and fully deserve to be swindled on every st. corner.

To all of you out there who are not only ok with getting burned, but actively sponsor the person who's holding the torch......You might as well be in bed with that wicked **** Jen Larson. I hope that each and every one of you win the lottery, buy fast cars, and wreck head on doing 90 into a ravine somewhere. Then maybe the streets will be a safe place for the rest of the world to drive.

I agree there is no way Liv Boeree would actually play at lock poker.

for most players, not being able to cash out has nothing to do with the site. So realistically, it really doesn't matter to them, and why should it? Most are playing for the love of the game, period.

Also, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but people on the internet lie quite a bit, especially about how they do in poker. I know people waiting a long time for withdrawals, but I also know players who have eventually gotten their money, albeit after many months.

Most of the Lock bashing is not at all about saving anyone from making a deposit on a shady site. After all, we as players want you as players to lose your money, albeit we'd rather you lost it to us than the site lol

None of this is a defense of indefensible withdrawal waits at Lock poker, but an observation on just how irrational the Lock bashing really is.

If you don't trust them, don't play there. It's that simple.

This reminds me, I need to log into Lock and see if my funds are still there. Have almost $300 from CC freerolls, haven't been on there since the last CC freeroll. Knowing those crooks, they probably withheld my funds due to inactivity.

I never heard of them withholding funds due to inactivity, they just don't pay in general.

I helped a friend of mine getting funds out 1.5 years ago, where he had around 120k stuck. We managed to get around 50k out in total before all accounts were blocked from p2p transfers and we were told to rake xx% of the amount before being able to submit a withdrawal.

Stay away from Lock and Superwins at all cost, otherwise you will be playing with monopoly money.

This is just really sad. I don't understand how anyone could support lock in anyway after all they have done to the poker world. When we as a community work very hard to get our reputation up, and change how the outside world look at us it's very sad to see lock/UB/FT set us back so much... This is just my opinion on this, but I think the only way we are ever going to truly get away from these cheats are to blacklist lock. We need to not only not play there at all, but just stop giving them the PR to make them legitimate

Granted many don't cashout from pokersites as they're losing players but Please... certainly they're playing with at least the hope of cashing out or that their money was safe and they could withdrawal it whenever they wanted to (who in their right mind would want to be playing, knowing the money they're losing is going to a site run by crooks? ...actually not even the money they're losing because it's lost once it's been deposited.... it doesn't even matter if they win or lose on the site)
Also, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but people on the internet lie quite a bit, especially about how they do in poker. I know people waiting a long time for withdrawals, but I also know players who have eventually gotten their money, albeit after many months.
Do you know any who've been paid in the past 4months? I don't. I believe the last WD I received was back in Aug.2013 & that was only because I received help from this forum (dakota). Actually received two more small WD's in summer of 2013 too (via same method). I haven't heard of a single person who's been paid since Lock 2.0. If you have, please share the great news with us.

So you figure that most of the players who are bashing Lock Poker don't give a sh1t about other players (new players) losing their money by depositing on Lock??? That is ludicrous! Of course we do.
It might come as news to you but many players actually try to help look out for the poker community. Lock stealing money from new players depositing on their sh1tty site is terrible for poker period! How could it be a good thing for newly depositing players to have their deposits stolen by Lock (yes stolen... you may look at it some other way... seeing as you know players who are getting their money still... 'albeit after many months'). How could anyone not care about that?
I'd suggest 'we as players' want you to have a good experience when you make your first deposits to play online poker. We want you to enjoy yourself & we want you to stick around for awhile.

I guess I'm relieved not to have joined on the Lock bandwagon when it broke away and created it own independent network.

But this new site is especially concerning as it lays bare the approach that all the "US Friendly" sites may be taking.
Imo, once your home state establishes its own intrastate poker network, by law they will have precedent to block any non-licensed sites to in-state players.

Take for example Carbon Poker. 98% of their players must be from the USA.
What will be their motivation to pay us back once they are blocked from the remaining US states?

After reading the OP, this was this first thing that came to my mind as well.

I saw this news on the interwebz 3 days ago, and was astonished that anyone would even consider playing at any skin directly/indirectly associated with Lock poker. As many others, I have been waiting on a measly <$200 cashout from Lock for almost a year. On a positive note, it's the 99% of my Lock balance, so if I ever see it, I'm done with Lock, as I already have been "done" woth them since I initiated this cashout. As wrong as it is, I hope they do draw in some saps that deposit large sums thinking things are honky dory (when we all know that depositing on Lock is like throwing money into a bottomless pit), in hopes that I see my cashout one day.... :embarasse

Is there anyone we can complain to? I have been waiting 8 months for $1000.00 and now they have blocked me from even inquiring to the status on their support chat of my withdrawal request.
" I understand your frustration but guarantee you will receive it shortly" haha ha I gave been given that same line of bull since October. I requested the withdrawal on. 7/1/13.

Yes it's a very sad situation, I still have around $500 on there. Only deposited $30 bucks back when. Good luck to me and everyone else trying to get their money.
