Hey,

Can anyone shed some light on how the Republicans and the Trump administration stand about on line poker.

I am sure or almost sure that the "Brick and Mortar" people are lobbying against On Line Poker.

If On Line poker was legalizes, it would probable leave lots of billion dollar casinos empty.

Strictly speaking, the GOP is officially against online gambling

I am sure or almost sure that the "Brick and Mortar" people are lobbying against On Line Poker.

On the contrary, legislation has passed in PA that shows the casino industry is on board with online gambling. Poker, however, is secondary to the house-banked games they make more money from.

If On Line poker was legalizes, it would probable leave lots of billion dollar casinos empty.

Probably not. Evidence shows that online gambling grows the gaming market rather than cannibalize existing casinos

Hi.

It used to be (at late as 2015) that there was anti-internet gambling/poker language in the official Republican 'platform'. That language was removed from the official party platform in 2016, that would seem to maybe be a positive sign. The VP (Pence) is on record though as definitely being against internet gambling. Maybe nothing specific to poker from him, but suspect that would be considered gambling by him and his people.

The 'Brick and Mortar' stance on on-line gaming seems to differ from state to state, in some states the brick and mortar casinos are tied in to the on-line offerings or proposed on-line offering which is intended to help things along.

It seems odd that the goverment is not running poker sites, its easy money and could be a revenue for our country instead of all the money going over seas like it does now. Just saying

Why would you play less if it was legalized online?

How can you really expect anyone to seriously provide you with accurate information on anything spewing out of trumps mouth?

The man is a serial LIER which makes it impossible to assist you in your valid question.

Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

If online poker was legalized, It would create another poker boom. and I believe it would bring in players that don't play , just like the money maker effect making the industry more profitable and more lucrative.
casinos would get more business, as before , it would pretty much be good for every party, gov would get there tax revenue, casinos would get new action, players would get more action and players. Its all about control why the government is making it illegal period

I agree with you, but in my case for example I would not leave the live because I love playing at the table with other people. In brazil where it is released I play online and in person.
