This seems to attracting tons of controversy at the moment. €20M guarenteed for a $600 rebuy event, massive reg fee of €180. Not alone that, you will be playing on your laptop, and can buy in to day 3 if your feeling rich for €6K with only a €2K reg fee.

Naturally the Tapie's are all over it. The reaction from the poker community has been terrible, they are claiming that the guarentee has been escrowed, but by the looks of it, it has failure written all over it. Thoughts ?

How do they run power to 30,000 laptops? Can the people sitting in the row behind you see your screen? Do they carry their laptops to the washroom break? Will breaks be synchronized somehow? I mean what are they gonna do with 30,000 people needing to take a piss during a 5min. break? lol Gatorade for a sponsor (save the empties)?

LOL at the goofy promo video. Like 30,000 people (who've busted out already) are going to stick around to cheer on the guy who takes it down, LOL. YAY... hold up that big trophy to all those fans!! You're famous!!!! Seems ridiculous to me.

where did you find info on the rake - by logging in? they seem to be keeping it as hidden as possible, when you go to buy in there's no mention of it (just €600, €1.2k and €6k)

don't know why they don't just try and make it a €5k live only tournament with a ton of online qualifiers, and give free entry on the final couple of days with side events, concerts, etc, to attract as big a crowd as possible

guess they dont feel like paying dealers..
on a serious note, I think its probably going to be a failure..
20,000,000 million guaranteed, if you think about the people that are going to play are probably going to start on day one so they need a total of about 33,333 buy ins(this will include rebuys). Dont think I see them getting even close to that. So an overlay they are going to have to cover is almost guaranteed. bye-bye rake fee profits.

I believe they were guesstimating 30,000 entrants. (x 600 = 18mill). Where did you include rebuys? (& how'd ya guesstimate that?)
