I have and use both and prefer HM2, but PT4 has its charm too. Especially considering PT4 works with League games, while HM2 does not because they dropped support for play money games awhile ago. A rather arbitrary decision that annoyed me quite a bit, since there's almost no difference in HH format.
-They already say one reason for the merger is overlapping technology and infrastructure; they wouldn't have done it unless they planned on merging the software. Even if they keep to separate releases for PT5 and HM3, the software differences will be greatly reduced.
I just hope that they continue to push each other to develop new features. Oftentimes mergers like these stifle creativity since there isn't a real third party competitor to push innovation.
Think about how stagnant the Madden franchise has become since EA bought the license and no longer had to compete with 2K and other developers who were making better games at the time.
I hope that won't happen, I love PT4 and used PT3 before that and have always been a big fan of their work. Still it is a realistic fear.
anyone know when should appear the first new software?
