yeah but this is a very advanced program like that virus a pro poker player had in his computer and after a couple k hands he notice that unusual moves and go check his security cameras and saw his computer loading the virus, but has i said this is in the super high stakes, not in the micro limits as some people are saying, because if there is 1% chance of loosing, you can lose

Just protect your own game.
And enjoy the fact that we can play poker in the first place.

Well, when I lose I'll have a new justification - someone hacked my hole cards :D
And props to pokerstars for full refund.

You obviously didn't read the article... & am 99.9% certain you just suck at poker.

I totally agree with you.

You must totally suck too.

Keep reading stuff on Cardschat... you're bound to improve (unless you read stuff similiarly to how you've read(?) this article)

Ok. So what can I do to protect myself against these?

Don't let high-tech computer dudes (who are strangers) live in your home while you're away somewhere in another part of the world.

If you do happen to let some guy like this ^ into your home, AND then when you hear from one of your other roomates that this guy was snooping around inside of your office (which was out of the way from the rest of the house), DON'T use that computer to play online poker. If you feel your personal computer has in any way been compromised (due to intruders, or maybe untrustworthy 'gambling' friends(?) who've been f'king with your computer) give it away & buy another one (it's like $1,000 instead of losing $35,000).

no idea how to comment it shud be safe to play there. (H stakes shud be protected in 100% from such things)

Guess what. It is.

If you read the article you'd see that it wasn't anything to do with the pokesite. It was somebody f'king around with the guy's computer.

The victim allowed random people into his home. He is fortunate not to lose money.

Should investigate the micro-stakes, there are so many "players" who always win the hand or they fold when they have to fold without any margin of error.

Did you let them into your home?

I understand that perhaps many of you have difficulty comprehending English but reading through most of the responses in this thread has me wondering... "Did you even look at the article?"
Couldn't you take 3 or 4 seconds to run it by google translator?

messer21, I think you're posting in the wrong thread.... look for 'rigged' thread (maybe)

Don't they make USB keys to lock a computer so only you can access it while your key is in?

Also, any computer that is used for playing high stakes should be kept out of sight and safely locked.

If you suspect that it has been tampered with in any way then just throw it away and buy a new one; like PO said.
