Groups from Wisconsin, Kentucky, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Hawaii, Georgia and Tennessee have sent letters asking congress to block states from legalizing internet gambling.

Congress needs to hear from all of us! If you don't want to join https://www.cardschat.com/forum/gen...ly-action-plan-210591/index3.html#post1913155 then go to your congressmen's web sites and contact them or call them regularly. Or go to the PPA's web sites for emails and other ideas. http://theppa.org/takeaction/

If we don't get this done and the momentum dies, we are out of luck forever. The Republicans need to hear that we want poker removed from their anti-gambling expansion platform as well. They love to pretend they are for freedom and liberty and the constitution, but most of them really aren't.

If they could tax it at 20% like fuel and tobacco and alcohol, I'm guessing the politicians would be taking bribes left right and centre to vote in it's favour.

Call me cynical, but politicians will do whatever makes them the most money, screw the people....it's all about business/oil/drugs/tobacco... soon as they work out a way to make a fortune from gaming, they will be on it like flies on shit.

Sure are alot of democrat governors from those states you mentioned. Prepare to move to a state that will allow you to play or just give in and move to Nevada. Northern part of the state is gorgeous, i recommend the tahoe area.

Politics ages folks faster then a night full of bad beats.

Thank god there are no states there that I have any desire to live in. :)

The politicians (our Congress) are only interested in one thing--maintaining their power base (votes) and that takes money, lying and promising the world, and staying in power! If they were really worried about us (the citizens of the U.S.), they would have fixed the economy by now, lowered taxes and loosened restrictions and constraints on business, making the economy grow and prosper for everyone.

They haven't, they won't and nothing will change (unless there is something in it for themselves)
