German poker pro disappeared in Slovenia

Is he hijacked?

Interesting, I love mystery. Something weird is definitely going on, Someone contacted the police saying they heard Strassmann calling for help from somewhere in a forest located in the outskirts of Slovenia's capital city, but when the caller went to aid Strassmann by following his voice, Johannes Strassmann was nowhere to be seen. Strange indeed. Hopefully the police find him.

Strange case i read on Croatian newspaper that he disappear in Dubrovnik,now i read on poker news that it was in Ljubljana,Slovenia.
I hope that they will find him alive and well.

Either kidnapped or faked maybe because he owed alot of money? Hopefully he ok.

Bad news, he was found deceased yesterday in a river that runs through the city he disappeared in.

Prayers for the family and loved ones go out.....just an awful story.

Be careful when you travel folks.

Wow, this is such horrible news. He seemed like a really nice guy and he was a terrific poker player. I loved watching him play via the EPT live streams.

The PokerNews article says that "criminal police investigators excluded a violent criminal offence". It seems to suggest that his death may have been accidental. I guess we'll have to wait for the results of the toxicology report.

How awful! My thoughts are with his family and friends. I really how they find who did that to him.

I read some of the Slovenian newspaper.Police did not find signs of any violence on him.Maybe it was an accident.

We have our story here, and will bringing you any updates as they become available. Really sad.

People who handle money as poker players, careful, this is sad news, but to serve as a lesson for all players.

RIP Johannes, I think he got involved with some mobs..who else will do something like that..it s horrible

According to an article at the PokerNews site, the toxicology report has come back and police now believe that Johannes fell into the Ljubljanica river while under the influence of an hallucinogenic drug such as magic mushrooms.
