General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect on 25 May and will change how poker sites collect players data and how they proccess that data.

I just received an email from Pokerstars, that for some reason went into the Spam section of my gmail, so you should also check your mails too. The thing is I don't see what will really change and if this change is for the better in any way. I didn't find any CC news article on that, but from a little search around the web, I found that is possible to delete the account and start a new fresh one from scratch. Although as I see from Pokerstars site they also state that will keep data depending on where you play for some time.
COM: 6 years
.NET 6 years
.FR: 6 years
.EE: 5 years
.BE: 5 years
.DK: 5 years
.EU: 5 years
.UK: 5 years
.IT: 10 years
.BG: 5 years
.SH: 5 years
.RO: 5 years
.PT: 10 years
.ES: 10 years
.CZ: 10 years

So, except the fact that anyone from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Czech Republic is for some reason more screwed than the others, anyone have anything more to add on the subject?
:p

The information they process is pure gold in its value to the poker community it is a large scale representation of whatt hands are best preflop for allins, which hands are losers pre flop which are big winners which are unusually low value. I wish theyd sell that data to us.

Didn't really thought it that way. But I think they already give that info if any member request it.

We'll have to agree to the terms if we want to play. I don't think there will be any major changes.
