Just as most of my friends are moving out of the country - they will be happy.

Obviously US players still won't be able to play, but will we be able to get into our old accounts?

Anyone think it's worth setting up a FT account? Didn't get into poker till well after BF so no idea of whether site is worth me having two accounts.

From the other PS/FT thread.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/29/news-views-gossip/official-ftp-pre-relaunch-thread-1232335/

4. What happens to all the screen names for US players? Are they recycled? Will players be forced to use them again once you re-enter the US market?

- US players will still be able to log in and play for play money, so their account details won't be changing at all. That means all the Player IDs will be kept.

So i'd assume that we'd be able to see our account balances there.

Good to hear it was finalized because I heard on the pokercast that a decision was expected Monday or Tue of this week. Thu is close enough. Now, I hope the DOJ pays the full balances and not just what someone deposited because I deposited a big fat zero.

Don't forget that a ton of people were depositing and never being charged for it because Full Tilt had no way of getting the money.

That's another reason paying deposits makes no sense. That would essentially be double-paying those players who never had the money taken out of their accounts.

If I lived in canada, I'd be throwing a party, instead I'll be holding my hat out to the DOIJ.

Same here. I have somewhere around $150 on FTP, but never deposited due to freerolls and being staked.

I don't like the idea of having to get paid by my government. I will have to apply for a payout from the good old USA DOJ with SSN in hand. I don't know if it will be worth it for 125 dollars.

Huge scam with millions of dollars involved. These people could have paid everyone, they are making millions. Let's see how they pan out after the new signings. Gambling will always have a twist.
seems to be a pattern developing

Yeah, that's exactly what it means. No real movement on getting either PS/FTP back in the US. Probably someday, but that is likely a ways away yet.
