Good read. Something off topic that I took from this interview was Phil Ivey borrowing money.

A person quoted by many as being the best player in poker today needing to borrow money doesn't make sense to me. Especially with all of the tournament wins he's racked up.

Is it something I'm just not understanding or do a lot of these high rollers really just blow through all of their money like that.

Not only him but also the other unnamed players that I'm assuming were partners in tiltware that Andy said didn't have "the money".

I think the "BORROW MONEY" is just a dirty trick. If FT gave him money or he took money from FT that would be illegal. This way, he can always say he will return it if some find out. If no one find it out he does not have to return it.

Ah ok. Thanks for that explanation.

Ivey shouldn't need to borrow money, considering how much he has won. And chris might have the right explanation. But from what I've heard, Ivey will gamble on anything and has lost a fortune at side bets and various games. At an event some time ago, he had lost so much in side bets that he had to win the tournament just to break even. (as rumored)

Wut?

I guess Ivey is a true gambler. Good thing he's a great player or he'd be in the bread line.

Found Andy's take on Phil's lawsuit interesting. I hadn't heard that Ivey may have filed the lawsuit in order to get his "investor" the chance to buy FTP.

Andy just sounds out of it. Hard to believe he knew so little.
