Hi everyone. I've been posting a daily action plan on a couple of poker forums for the past few years and am pleased to start a thread here at Cardschat!

I hope everyone will consider participating in this each day, as it is an easy way for us to magnify our individual voices. These items take just seconds to complete, so we can all do these quite quickly and painlessly. Thanks!

With the groups that pushed for UIGEA seeking a federal ban on online poker and other online gaming (their letter to Congress is HERE), we ALL need to stand up and tell our lawmakers that we want them to support poker. Our opponents are pressing Congress for action, so our elected representatives need our letters in front of them:
  1. Let's snail mail the prewritten, fully editable PPA member letter to Congress and the White House HERE and to state lawmakers HERE (or click the buttons below). This takes just a few minutes (especially if you use your printer to print the envelopes). It's very important that our elected representatives know we demand our right to play, so let's all print, sign, and mail these out now. As they will take one month to get delivered, they will not clash with the emails we sent yesterday:

  2. Let's send Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Sen. Mitch McConnell, Senator Jon Kyl, House Speaker John Boehner, and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor prefilled, editable, pro-poker tweets. Simply click HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
  3. Let's send a prefilled tweet promoting today's action plan HERE, and let's share today's action on our own Facebook walls HERE.
If you wish to do more today:
Please reply in this thread with "tweeted", "done", etc. to encourage others. Thanks for participating!

Glad to see you here, Rich.

Thanks for all the work you do in the fight for poker rights.

Tweeted and sent.

(if you all open each link in a new tab, then just go to each tab, hit tweet and close the tab, it takes no time at all.)

Glad to see you here, Rich.

Thanks for all the work you do in the fight for poker rights.
ditto!

Here's hoping this becomes the most active thread on the forum (even giving the 'rigged' thread a good go).

Sent. I am a US citizen but live in germany. The letters require a US address as well as a US telephone. I used my sisters.

Any tips on how, as a US citizen NOT residing in the US, I can still be active in a less shady (i.e. using an address and phone that is not actually mine) but still effective way?

And can non US players get involved in any way?

Done. Glad to see you here Rich. I've been falling down on the job on the action plan lately but I spend a lot more time on this site than 2+2 so seeing you here will remind me to get my butt in gear.

Thanks for the support! I appreciate your participation, despite not being a US resident.

One effective way to participate this via the Facebook and Twitter action items. Social networking is excellent because it is worldwide.

I have looked at some links in your newest post. I searched some poker posts and "liked" But I am a FB and Twitter illiterate. (Yea, I am very old school..lol)

So if anyone here can post links to the best post and places where we can "like" that would make it easier for the "challenged" such as myself. I dont even know how twitter works..... I guess just make an account, but never even looked.....

In the links above, I am guessing the Micheal Bandy post is the one to like?

Twitter is easy - google it, create an account and if you can't figure it out let me know and I will help you.
