With the upcoming regulations in our country it seems they will already take measures against E-wallets (neteller and skrill) and this spring :(

Also our only option to move money online from our banks (IDEAL) to gamingsites will be blocked.

Slap in my face and really could be the end as playing poker for a living.

Seems that everything comes to an end :(

wow thats quiet surprise that they do something like that in Netherlands. I mean you are pretty liberal with all stuff there, whats wrong with e-wallets for your government? :)

Politicians never liked them they always want a piece of the action through taxation but i'm sure you can deposit through different sources/methods

Western Civilization seems to be reverting to the Communist Form of Government at a rapid pace. NSA spying, online poker restrictions, e-wallet shutdowns, further privacy intrusions, where does it stop? Just elect a guy named Stalin and Mao Tse-Tung to run the entire Western World.

fascist not communistic....you are way off

its really simple --- those who control money control the world

- until the peasants rise up against them and exterminate them

then it will start over and slowly repeat because man is inherently greedy.

Hate to say I told you so ...but when it happened in the usa... you should've saw it coming..

you are only allowed to have freedoms if you are making money for those at the top of the pyramid....or you ARE on the top.

Pretty brutal for poker players. Aren't they doing this so they can start regulating the market though?

This is probably related to taxation. Money received through the wallet becomes faceless. In the declaration it is possible to indicate their arrival as you like. And if immediately on the card you can see where they came from.

I think these problems sooner or later are waiting for all poker players, regardless of where they live. As far as I know, problems with bank transfers and electronic payment systems will appear in the near future in Russia. As a result, it is not the regulation of gambling and the care of citizens in the first place, but as I think everyone understands, this is getting the country an additional source of income as a result of taxation of the sphere of gambling.

I would put enough money into the account and do not worry, you can just drive across the border once a month and take money there.

It seems this is (and going to be) a problem with a lot of countries. Just a changing environment with governments trying to keep control over people. You could do what marakhovskii suggested but that seems really inconvenient and cumbersome. I think that is why bitcoin and other digital currency is being pushed by most gambling/poker sites. Switch to bitcoin. Seems like a pretty easy solution. You can deposit, withdraw, convert bitcoin to cash, and deposit to your bank very quickly and painlessly with a few clicks.

Is a stupid thing to do and not only because of the obvious poker reasons but also virtual currencies are getting stronger and stronger and it is just a matter of time before bitcoin or another one are being broadly used. (There are already a few poker sites that allow bitcoin). Seems to be a short sighted decision, only based on short term interest from some politicians.

And this is one of the solutions to the problems. I also use bitcoin. Every year the bitcoin rate grows. Perhaps bitcoin will be the main currency of the Internet, for financial transactions.
