So as many may know Durrr has been hinted to has disappeared to the far east. Well latest rumor new/rumor I heard of him was he just lost a 20million dollar pot. One pot, 20mil, lost on a bluff. (Source: THR Radio)

I do not believe in these rumors, they can write whatever just to get more clicks. By the way, Tom is again active on his twitter account..

I just saw a of an interview with him. Apparently he travels back and forth between states and Asia to play in big games. Apparently that hand did happen, set over set on a dry board. I mean how can anyone lose 20 mill in a hand and come back from that? I doubt he made that playing anyway. He was probably staked.

Rumors are that he was on a rainbow flop, something like 4 8 J, and they ended up all in carrying Durrrr pocket 8 and the villain pocket J. Losing a great pot our admired Tom D.

Yeah I think he was staked, at least they say that is why he has been in Asia all this time, to make up the money to pay back debt in Vegas.

I thought Dwan was forced to work in a body house in Macau to pay off his losses? LOL

It must be 20 million in some other currency haha. But I don't doubt it. He probably plays some big games against businessmen. And Daniel Cates said he has talked to Dwan and they will work on trying to get some hands in the challenge that Dwan ran away from.

Why would he "tell all" at all, let alone very soon? Why would he want to?

It must be 20 million in some other currency haha.

Yep it's almost certainly Hong Kong Dollars, which is the standard currency used in Macau casinos.

At current exchange rates, $20m HKD is worth about $2.5m USD.

He probably does not want, but since he is again active on social networks, I am sure he will get a bunch of questions from fans and journalists.. Tom has suddenly disappeared, and people interested in what happened.. Anyway it will be neither the first nor the last time to lose a big pot.. I'd like to read his interview more than this rumors.. but yea, I agree with you, that is his life and is not obliged to speak about it publicly..

Even with middle set i'm still going to fold for that amount, unless i have the nuts my $10mil is staying by my side, how can anyone be prepared to lose so much in 1 hand:confused:, that's what makes him different i suppose, the Boy has some balls on him, that's for sure.:)

Those big stakes players got to the top by being willing to put the whole bankroll on the line when the action seems lucrative . Lots go broke or back down from various factors : unrealistic assessment of their own skill ; poor decisions in inflated low EV spots ; from bad luck ; fast spending ; other gambling leaks ; drugs + alcohol etc etc .

20 mil seems too much for a single pot to me especially a bluff

That's funny. He will never lose $20M lol, at least not into a single hand.

As above, the pot (if it actually happened) was almost certainly in Hong Kong Dollars, which would make it about $2.5m in US dollars. Which is still huge, but not as huge as it might have seemed.

I wonder if he is going to start the challenge back up with Jungleman? Be nice to see him pay what he owes.
