This! lol so trueI read somewhere that he had only 7% of his own action on the event.Maybe this is the reason, talk about how he win 15 millions and he "only" win 1 million.
Maybe he doesn't want to be hypocrite.
PS:I'm sure that the runner-up speak enough for both of them

He took a long time to achieve something like that so why not celebrate? And his post is contradicting to say the least. Its one thing to point out all negativity of poker but then make alot of cash from it? He doesnt seem like a proper role model to me.
This One Drop situation has angered me more than it should due to my love for this game. Why didn't he leave poker after he had his eureka moment, and realized it was a "dark game"? (in his opinion). The audacity he has to stand there and take the largest prize in poker while feeling the way he does is beyond me.
In his post he wrote he didn't owe an explanation, I agree, and wish he wouldn't have said anything. Now he is just a hypocrite.
It's like if I go to a marksman tournament, win, then go on to say no interviews please, guns are bad because they kill people. What the heck am I doing there then?
Thanks for posting his explanation, lulu.
I can understand his views and the way he feels he should behave towards poker. I can respect the fact he doesn't want to promote poker, he has some valid points and I actually agree to some of what he says, just not nearly as strong as he does. I just think some people should not play poker, it's not for everybody.
What I definitely don't agree with is the fact he just won a major tournament, he should give interviews and behave "appropriately". He should keep his opinions in private, meaning between family, friends, etc, and maybe even not promoting poker directly himself.
But he should be grateful for his win, for the promoters of the tournament, for the players that participated in it and everybody that made it happened.
In what way did he act inappropriately?

he might be in a rush to party
