The government of the Province of British Columbia already has an online site for assorted online games and will be adding an online poker room this fall.

The government of Quebec will be adding a government-regulated and perhaps -sponsored online poker room this fall as well.

The governments of Ontario and Manitoba are looking into setting up online poker sites run and regulated by their respective lottery corporations.

I'd say an online poker room based in a major mainland country rather than on some godforsaken lawless island in the Pacific Ocean is an improvement. As a Canadian I'm going to keep a close eye on further developments.

I'm pretty sure that Tiger Gaming is Canadian based, not huge traffic but tables so soft they hug you when you sit down. Ooops, run by a Norwegian company, they are however regulated by their stock exchange and court system.
