Just wonder if these moves by the casinos in Vegas will open up any more online poker options for us USA players really? Guess we shall see in 2013!!

yep pirate i'm kind of hoping for the same thing.
that it might put a flame under the behinds of other state politicians to not be left out.
i know california originally imbrassed the idea of a poker pool with other states through nevada. but typical greed took over and last i heard they didnt want the operations of sites to be anywhere but inside the state. not to mention how strong the indian casino lobby is here.
personally i want to compete on a world level or at least nationally. i think we're all tired of seeing the same faces in every tourney.

U.S online poker

A.B.C news report,Were online poker to be legalized in the United States, and were those winnings to be taxed, the added government revenue would be, Pappas said, "nothing to sneeze at."
If Reid's draft bill were to become law, Pappas said, the federal government would collect and pass on to states billions of dollars in new revenue over 20 years. "That would pay for a lot of programs that need funding," he says.

I certainly hope this takes on across the states. Here in Alabama, I don't see it though. These stupid people can't even get lottery here. There are a few Native American casinos though.
