We came to an end the first stage of the 13th season of the EPT ( European Poker Tour ) and the participation of Brazilians in Barcelona did not leave to be desired, showing once again the strength of the national poker.
The action began with the Estrellas Poker Tour, local loop which is played with the EPT attracted many Brazilians due to more affordable buy- ins and field quieter . The big green and yellow result was Felipe Theodoro account, which took second place in the High Roller of € 2,000 and pocketed almost € 270,000 . Felipe made his debut on the EPT, as well as Daniel Nagayama , who also made a final table to fall in the € 2K 9 Hyper- Turbo Bounty .
In the Main Event of the series, two Brazilians were far Rodrigo Strong finishing in 76th position and Victor Begara coming in 47th . Victor , the " headao " online , also excelled in the lights out of the EPT . He overcame 299 competitors to win Event # 59 ( € 330 Main Event Turbo Edition ) and finish the trip in high pocketing € 14,565 . The final table of this tournament also had Brazilian Andrey Luis and Felipe Boianovsky finishing 4th and 5th places respectively .
The other Brazilian spiked in Barcelona came with Andre Akkari in charity tournament Right to Play . Team pokerstars Pro overcame teammates as Felipe Mojave, Liv Boeree , Vanessa Selbst , Fatima Moreira De Melo , Jake Cody , "ElkY" Grospellier , George Danzer , among others.
