Borgata's President issued a statement yesterday saying they had received the first permit for internet gaming in NJ.

According to bluff Magazine the DGE director informed all 12 NJ casinos last week that they are still targeting Nov 26 as the date to go live with online gaming in New Jersey.

The Borgata has partnered with bwin.party - it is still not clear how the guilty plea entered by party poker will impact their ability to obtain licensing for the technology.

I'm not so sure, it was a good idea to partner with bwin.party. IMO they should of gone with Stars.

Should have gone with stars? What makes you think that was even an option?

pokerstars isn't seeking to simply be a vendor, they are seeking a foot hold in hopes of dominating the market. That is why Pokerstars has spent so much money trying to acquire a casino of their own. Any partnership PS enters into is going to be one that sees them have controlling interest. Whereas the AC casinos are simply looking for partners to supply software and support as vendors.

I agree I think Stars is looking to rule the world and the first US team they side with will have a bigger stake in the political world

This makes me really happy that internet poker is making its way back into the US. I dislike playing on other internet poker sites in the meantime and not really knowing if your money is really safe. I have played smaller limits so if I do lose the money it will not be such a big deal.

I dont see how pokerstars wouldnt have been an option being that pokerstars signed the contract with resorts to have their site through them.. Personally i dont care who they have an agreement with im just excited that pokerstars is going to be back in NJ

Pokerstars still has not gotten a license, you're getting ahead of your self.

Don't expect it to be including ROW. Because it won't. It will be segregated to NJ and possibly NV and DE if they do a compact. So really, I will still be playing at Bovada and BCP.

I don't expect any of those three states compacting with each other any time soon. DE is going to be an island unto itself for the time being, as they have gone the lottery route. Some states may adopt that model, and then could compact with DE. But I don't expect them to compact withopen market states like NV/NJ.

NV and NJ are going to be competing, not partnering. There is very little advantage to NJ in compacting with NV. NV is not just small in population, they are also poker only. I see these two states competing to compact with other states as they come online, and not compacting together until a clear winner is established.

How about you do a little reseach because experts are already seeing a very good chance of a compact in 2014 between at least NJ and NV.

I'm just setting back waiting to see how it goes,,, I think it will still be years before the majority of states go on-line with this. Not sure if Texas will ever be there.

Nice to see NJ moving along with this, my significant other and I have been contemplating moving up to NY/NJ at the end of the year, she hates me playing poker so I'll leave this out of our next conversation on it.

I would rather have companies operating in US with all monies being gathered and dispursed from US coffers. Why in the world let offshore companies/firms
take these spots?

Borgata is the best poker room on the entire east coast. One of the best in the entire country. I love The Borgata. I'm so glad they got first entry into the market. They make poker the way it should be. I miss you Borgata! I hope to see you soon.

I use to play on Full Tilt I loved that they did a Freeroll for the US every night. When all this stuff happened with them shutting down game play to US Players it just did not make since.

I hated not being able to play this game which I came to love just because the government could not figure out how at the time to get a piece of the pie.

I am glad that we have some online poker places to play at now but it really is not the same. I wish we had the same options as most of you.
