Barry Greenstein will join Washington State PPA members at rally

I was just listening to the Two Plus Two Pokercast with Barry Greenstein, and heard that he will be attending a Poker Players Alliance rally in Kent, Washington on May 15th in support of the legalization of internet poker in Washington State.

[WA] PPA to Hold Rally outside King County Superior Court
by Poker Players AllianceLee Rousso, PPA’s Washington State Director, will present his case to the King Country Superior Court on May 15th, and the PPA will hold a rally and press conference outside the courthouse immediately following the hearing.

Rousso is challenging the constitutionality of the law, arguing that it violates the Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution, which reserves to Congress the right to regulate interstate and international commerce. Most state attempts to regulate the Internet run afoul of the Commerce Clause, and Washington’s law should be no exception.

Top poker star Barry Greenstein will join with Washington State members of the PPA at the rally to show their support for Rousso’s efforts to keep poker legal.

Might have to go to this. I don't like being a felon to play poker online.

That is AWESOME. That is the direction we must pursue. Legitimacy is the only true way to make our common interest better. If we could just get the law on our side. Unfortunately the law is run by crooks too. How can we organize bigger ones that really grab attention?
