We used to say that if a thief, a drug dealer, and a killer came to your house, you would ask the killer and the drug dealer to help you keep an eye on the thief. You see a killer isn't necessarily a homicidal maniac that's going to snap and kill everybody in the house if you don't have a cold coke in the fridge. A drug dealer isn't going to make you buy drugs that you don't want to buy. A thief, on the other hand, has no honor. They will steal from anyone as long they think they can get away with it.

That's some story and I feel bad for antonio,, because it sounds like this was his father's text girlfriend or something who actually lived there at one time... hopefully they'll be rid of her for good and he can recover some things back

So would I be correct in assuming that Antonio will get most of his property back. If she is truly being cooperative, then she should be able to lead police to wherever the jewelry went, if she didn't still have it. The chips, like the jewelry, I assume would be considered stolen personal property and be fairly easy to recover. Let's hope she was still up, when she was apprehended so she could reimburse him for the cash she stole. But then again, if she only took $150,000 in cash, that would be no big deal to Antonio Esfandiari. That's only a fraction of "one drop" (painful pun absolutely intended) in the Antonio bucket.

I guess the people closer to you are able to do more harm and easier than the strangers , if they decide to do so . She had keys in the past , she returned them , but did Antonio changed thelock of the door in the meanwhile ??? All the things that she dis after , the big buyins for games , the chips that she had on her , the things that she told the person that won some of these chips , she is very suspicious , if she is the guilty one , then she is also very stupid , lol. ... I had a friend who had his flat broken into and his next door neighbor asked him in so he could phone the police to report it. offered him a cup of tea to calm him down and served it to him in his own cup which was one of the missing articles from his flat.

This is a sad deal, and this is why you can't let everyone into your life. It is unfortunate that people of fame can't make true connections after they are famous.

I did have a curious question. I'm not a high roller so I don't know what hoops they go through.

Why would he have $500K in casino chips? Couldn't he just wire the money to any casino that he wants to play at? Since he is tying up cash in casino chips, then he could have just wired money to the casino for them to hold the money in an account with them? If he is giving the chips to other players in the form of a stake, then he could have the casino give X chips to player Y from his account.

I would be interested if anyone knows why it is better to hold physical casino chips.
