All Nevada, incl. Las Vegas casinos ordered to close due to Covid-19(report 3/20)

Governor Steve Sisolak ordered the closure of all Nevada casinos on Tuesday, effective at midnight for at least 30 days.

I think it's safe to say most of us are not planning any trips to Las Vegas anytime soon.

I hope it's a good learning experience for casino owners. I hope they decide to support online poker sites rather than oppose them.

This news was announced back in March when the coronavirus hit the USA. Now, most of the hotels/casinos have reopened.

Action has indeed resumed, but most places require people to wear medical masks. I have seen some live streams from after the reopening, and frankly it just look completely ridiculous. People can obviously do, what they want, but for me I would not want to go to a casino, if these are the conditions. If its really that dangerous, that medical masks are needed, then why not just stay home and play online poker. After all going to a casino is supposed to be fun and not feel like, you are in a hospital

Was primed to say 'well this is bad but on the plus side soon you'll hopefully have someone in power who might actually do something about it..' but as this isn't a new lockdown I guess I don't have to... :tomato:

We here are almost done with our 2nd wave, it made the 1st wave look like it was a ripple.

If the US gets through it's first wave, with their numbers, I fear for the people when the 2nd wave hits,
it won't matter who is in office, granted, anything will be better than what is in place now.
