Revolution Gaming Network Warning
Cake Poker and Juicy Stakes Appear to be in Serious Trouble

Summary

The well documented issues at Lock Poker appear to be affecting other skins on the Revolution Gaming Network...

Juicy Stakes players in the US are now waiting 7-9 months to receive a check, the only cashout option available to Americans. While some US friendly skins like to blame the lack of payment processors for their withdrawal issues, this excuse cannot explain why players outside of the US are waiting nearly two months for Neteller and Skrill cashouts. A list has been generated that includes over $90,000 in late payments just from players that know about it.

In the latest US Online Poker Payment Processing Report (note: I am also the author of that monthly series), Juicy Stakes received an F grade. This is the first failing grade since Everleaf Gaming stopped paying US players. In my opinion, there is little difference between the two. If there are players waiting since October and November 2012 for their money then that is about as close to not paying as it gets.

There Are Still Strong Revolution Gaming Skins

While there are many Revolution Gaming skins to avoid, there are some that appear to be strong enough to survive the potential fallout if Revolution Gaming were to implode.

Saw this coming from several months ago....just browse the p2p trade section on 2+2 and it's always easy to see what sites aren't cutting it (i.e. how lock/juicy/etc. were being traded for .4 on the dollar). And intertops is probably the only skin I would even remotely consider playing on outta all Rev Skins. Feel bad for those who have a lot of money locked up over there, who knows if and when some of them will ever see all of it.

I have had a bad streak on JS and am down to less than 100 dollars. I have not cashed out there since it was Cake. Very distressing news indeed.

Lock is dragging everyone down. How can a poker site go bankrupt? They simply have to exist, its all profit!

I always had a feeling there was some sort of trouble when Cake left the USA market and transferred out accounts to JuicyStakes. And I already had an Juicy account at the time. I had to email support to let them know which account I wanted to keep. Then somewhere down the line Lock becomes Revolution network. I never had any problems on the skin Intertopps Poker. Although their WU fees might be higher than others, at least I got my $$$ within a week.

I have $223 at JS that I guess will just sit there forever - or until they no longer exist.

How on earth does this happen? Where does the money go? Either the overhead is not conducive to making a profit, or someone is just milking it for all it's worth.

We still have no idea; how many millions did those poker pros who hocked Ultimate Bet every time they walked out a door make? No wonder they don't know what happened. "I have no idea...they were paying me my millions, so I would naturally think they had enough to pay the players on the site....lamo.

I just w/d $100 from Cake (free to neteller, from the UK) and it took 22 days, which is not good but not terrible either. Also from Intertops in just 2 days.

I didn't know about the concerns WEC & 4Flush raised before I did this, I just wanted to reduce my balances on sites which I rarely play on now.

Thanks for the info, I guess I'd better get the rest of the Cake off now
I'm just glad that I can, Sucks for US players

Is there any sites that are paying out on time for U.S. players? I know first hand that Lock is all jammed up. I have read about similar problems with Carbon and a few others.

It just seems like Brovada's trafiic is low unless you want to play .25/.50 or below. The only site that I found to be good is bet online but its the same group of players over and over again.

I think it is guaranteed tourneys that are causing the problems. The sites seem to think the guarantees add importance. IMHO guarantees should be used only for special events, or the guarantees set so low that they always exceed the guarantee.

ALL U.S. sites suffer this problem. At WPN, it is hard to find a tourney that is not a guarantee. At Merge yesterday the big game had a 4 hour late registration!!! Checking Revolution revealed nearly as dire a situation.

The only thing I think it guarantees is that the site will be in trouble covering those guarantees if they are not already in trouble.

While guarantees initially look like a great promotional gimmick, actual inspection of the structure will show a discerning player they are bad news. My reasoning and logic would be better served in a separate discussion.

These guarantees are not necessary! If the sites are willing to lose x$ they would be better off offering money added tourney's! With no late registration people would adjust rapidly and they could always offer the sweet overlay.

With it being tough to receive payments what are players going to do if they win a tourney? People are having trouble receiving a max payout of 3k. How are they going to get 22k? The money isnt going anywhere.

I think your 100% right also most like 90% of the people in the tournies like 100k GTD are getting into them by Free Rolls... I know I did,

I also noticed that they lowered the week;y GTD now its 75k and 50k instead of 100k and 60k and the buy ins are bigger too...

I can tell you guys how this happens, the owners are a bunch of trust fund babies who treat the sites like they are there private piggy banks, this must stop! These poker sites are businesses that should be run by legitimate honest businessmen! We will continue to see these problems until the U.S. market votes with its feet.

Bovada is still the best on pay outs in my experience. Just got another check from them, on exactly the day they said it would come. Although I wish they would make anonymous play an option instead of required, Bovada remains the place I feel the most comfortable with holding my $

I agree Bovada, and carbon are the two best U.S. sites

Carbon has fallen well behind with current 2.5 month payouts for US Players and no P2P Transfers. Right on the edge of being taken off the recommended list for me. But gotta give them time to turnaround their US Cash processing problems, and so far ROW Players are getting quick cash-outs (unlike Lock Poker, et al).

P2P policy change was a real nut kicker though...

I agree it's right on the edge.

What is the deal with Brovada and the rooms I was just browsing the other day and saw that you couldnt see the names of players. I didnt know if it was because I didnt have money in the site or what.

You saw what we all see. Bovada made the weird decision to make playing poker anonymous. We mostly thought they would fail, but they fooled us, and seem to be pretty healthy these days.
