Yeah I think the PA gambling Commision had a stick in his butt. I think they were out to get someone. Do you think may the PA commission maybe has it out for someone high up at that casino? I'm thinking probably yes? Since it says it was a repeat violation and they were not going to let it slide this time.
I kind of look at it the other way, they violated before and they were warned so they should have been on their best behavior. Politics are always involved with
casinos because of volume of money moving through them. Fining them that small amount likely means nothing to the bottom line. Floor guys kind of got hung out to dry though.
One of the problems was that the "illegal" game was documented and published!
The gamblers asked, the casino accommodated......but nobody stopped to think that this was breaching their contract with the state - and that the casino can be fined or lose their gambling license.
I enjoyed the video. I think those guys are very entertaining to watch as they genuinely have fun. Nobody blaming the dealer for a change! LOL
Possibly there should be some amendment to the casino's gaming list that allows for a one time "special event" or similar so that they can ensure that they provide games that their clientele want to play.
Good luck !
"nobody stopped to think"... That's the root of the problem. I've done that job, and I admit at the end of a long tournament everyone is just exhausted, so decision making is not at it's best. However, the floor supervisor's job is to protect the integrity of the game and casino. Both equally important, and during licensing this is almost guaranteed to be addressed in training. I said above, I don't know PA license training, but it's pretty unlikely they didn't cover legal games within the state...
As far as the dealer... he could have refused, but he was told to by his boss, who the dealer may assume knows more about the regulations than himself. Not to mention the tip aspect, in those situations the players doing the flip usually toss the dealer and/or floor a couple bucks for the courtesy. So the lure of some fast cash may have influenced. I actually think the punishment for the dealer was appropriate, just some retraining and a warning.
