Many poker players are concerned that the 2020 WSOP won’t take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 WSOP is still more than two months away and, as Gregory Chochon said in his recent interview with a French radio show, that means there might still be time for the series to run as planned. Thoughts?
If they plan for it to happen, it might. I'd hate to see them cancel it too soon.

I hope it happens, but I expect less recreational players to play.

Everything ispossible , without knowledge of how this plague is going to escalate or not . Many sport events are postponed or cancelled , many limitations to transport or social gatherings , businesses close , really hard times , especially for the ones that lost their beloved ones . But chaos or unexplained panic and hysterical measures by governments has severe consequences worldwide , a better plan by UN or global helth organisation is needed , not spasmodic epidermal decisions .

re: Poker & 2020 WSOP has not cancelled yet
Most likely, will start on schedule (it may well be), but what happens in the process is difficult to predict, I fully admit cancellation during the series if the situation with the virus does not change for the better. In the online number of tournaments necessarily increase.

It will be canceled for sure. Hard to imagine that it wouldn't be. Casinos in vegas are already closing.
