That would be the perfect event - but timing is horrible for me. If I go at the end of May I would miss the Ladies event which is at the end of June - and all of my friends being there then.

I am not sure what we will do for the team event - wanted to do the Monster Stack but the timing for it is terrible too - June 12-13.

Will have to give this some thought.

Hard to say yet if I go to Vegas in 2015. 2014 my 4 week trip costed around 10k€ so at least I'm not planning to stay there for that long... but I would like to play WSOP PLO8 1,5k$ event and maybe 3k$ event again if I have a good bankroll and win a satellite package or two.

I hope those events are earlier this year though.

Schedule doesnt seem too bad. Good value tournies of course with that $565 is a little weird but worth the buy in. But I could not find it, but would they give you 1500 for a starting stack with the 3X buy in for starting stack. But the little one drop and monster stack are ones i will be attending. One for a good cause and the monster stack is just a good tourney. Wish everyone luck this comming summer!

I see Tunica, MS has some events Jan 22-Feb 1st. Would love to be able to get up there and play a couple this year. Seniors would be fun for sure.

I hate this damn schedule this year -really couldn't be any worse for me.

My other concern with the 1st event is how many influential people we may or may not attract and how many people won't be there yet. So many people wait until late June to go - closer to main event time.

How many pros will play in that event is a consideration as well.

So mad they put the monster stack in the middle of June - ugh.

We really need a deeper stack tournament for this event to get the most value from it in my opinion.

I noticed they increased the starting stack of the Little One For One Drop to 5k.

I hear ya.

My chances of going to Vegas this year are completely up in the air as of now, if I had to guess, it would be ~10%

I also would want to go in June/July and def play a monster stack if I did wind up going.

I think they increased most of the stacks for 1-1.5k tourneys.

I am 99% sure I'll be going to vegas again at least once during WSOP and most likely I'll build my trip around the monster stack event. The structure is just too good to pass up, IMO.

So not that we are really voting, but my vote goes to the monster stack event...since I'll most likely be playing it either way.

Just read the announcement at the WSOP website which includes a lot more details.

The Little One for One Drop on June 30 might be our best option for a team event again. It is a $1k buy-in this year - but for an additional $111 you get 5k more in chips - for a total of 10k in chips.

So it is cheaper than the monster stack and you can have 10k in chips vs the 4k we started with last year.

I actually will have some paid vacation days this year... Hmmmm....

"The Colossus" looks really interesting. $565 with 5,000 starting chips, $5M guarantee, re-entrys available. If you enter the 10:00AM Friday, you could conceivably re-enter 4 times.

Also a lot of chatter going on right now about the WSOP payout structures, notably the ME payout. Find the Kevin Mathers tweet
'To those that want to pay 1,000 spots in the Main Event, how much is a min-cash'
and reply to it to add your opinion.

The colossus looks sweet! I'm going to make my first WSOP trip in 2015 & that would be a fun first tournament.

The "Colossus" looks like a huge publicity stunt to get the fish in the door early and generate a buzz for the WSOP. I can't see many Pro's wanting to get in there the first weekend. But maybe the fishing will be so good, they might come out for a bit of fun with the re-entry format.

I tend to agree with Debbie - the Little Drop looks like a better option for a team event - it's a good cause, is a fairly deep stack @ 10K, and is at a better time in the schedule.

At this point I can't really see it being anything other than the Little Drop - I would have to fly out there twice for the Colossus or the Monster Stack.

I think you are right - the Colossus will get a HUGE field - but I don't think many pros will be breaking down the door to play in it.

A moment of silence in respect:
From Twitter:

‏@AFeldmanESPN
Final note:
Will most likely be first WSOP I'm not covering in 10 years. Been a fun ride poker world.

ESPN has redirected the poker coverage to a new section called "Chalk" which covers a broader range of sports betting and poker. The good news is that ESPN still has a contract to televise the WSOP into 2017. According to some of Andrew's tweets, he will continue writing for ESPN, but will not be covering poker.
