$100K High Roller Introduces Big Blind Ante, Shot Clock to WSOP at Nosebleed Stakes
How do you feel about the changes?

The shot clock is fine but the BB Ante needs to be reconsidered. For the very first time the term double-up will not mean double-up and you won't be able to win as many chips as you put into the pot. There are other solutions to resolve ante timing. I'd like to hear further discussion on this from players rather than TDs of Casinos. As this is a win in the bag for casinos.
the idea came from the players.
It makes total sense. dealers waste a lot of time checking the antes.
it's great for the game
The shot clock is nice, why would a pro need 3 minutes to calculate his odds and make a decision? It's really just camera time. About the BBA I'm not that happy, but as it is the same situation for everybody, it doesn't make a big change I guess. Bad for the nitty players, good for me, I guess
I keep hearing the pros and TDs praising this system. But other than emotional appeal the data that I have found is that the time saved is negligible. This is, of course, a slam dunk for the TDs, and the pros are always looking for new games.Imagine you go to your favorite restaurant with 9 of your friends. Everyone orders the same $10 buffet. When the check comes everyone chips in $10 and the bill is paid. Now imagine instead of everyone chipping in $10, a different person pays the $100 each time you visit the restaurant.
This is the big blind ante.
Now imagine that the restaurant is going to close in a few days after you arrange this agreement.
This is the big blind ante in tournaments.
Oh and I forgot to mention on some days only 5 or 6 of your friends will show up but you still have to pay the $100

In cash games (the origin) it's a pretty small change, but in tournaments, they seem like pretty substantial changes to me:
- For the first time in the history of poker you will be able to go all-in and not double up against an equal or larger stack.
- A smaller stack will be able to knock you out of a tournament
- You end up paying more in antes near the end of the tournament
