Depend on what your requirements are.

A lot of people are using Pokertracker and Hold'Em Manager, which have a similar wealth of information. Programs like Jivaro seem pretty good if you're at the stage where basic stats will be sufficient for you.

I really like pokertracker. I have been using it since version 3, and still use it with version 4. It is an investment. It will run you $160 for the full version of it for Omaha and hold'em. It is cheaper for small stakes version or just one game, but still a hefty price.

I feel like it is worth it. I have spent more on books and other materials, but the tracking programs can tell me more about my own game.

I use Poker Copilot. I initially chose it for its support for displaying sharkscope stats right in the HUD. This saves me the work of manually checking player stats every time I change tables. Very slick.

I think pokertracker is probably the most robust, with the ability to do more custom reports etc. HEM is really easy to use. The other thing to consider is what games you are playing, if you are playing low stakes full ring-then probably any hud will do, but if you are playing high stakes hu- then i would go with pokertracker.

I use HM2 and DriveHUD. I usually use DriveHUD to track most of my game right now and for some sites i use HM2.

The best HUD is that who give you understandable information to have an good play and maybe a positive winrate. Myself i use only the basic stats ( VPIP,PFR, AG, HDS) otherwise I am counting on my notes . If none, starting hand and position is the best guide.

Since i started playing online i'm using PT4 tracker and its really good for me. I definitely not gonna change it, because i got everything what i need there. So i'm recommending PT4 tracker. After you found the best tracker for you, make sure you're writing notes to players, because it is helpfull aswell. Most of the time i'm deciding my calls based on my notes than on the tracker.
Good luck buddy.

what is the best hud to use
I'm not sure there is a definitive best. PT4, HM2 and Poker Copilot are all excellent in their own way. Each have different functionality and different pricing. I'm a Mac user, so my choices are pretty much limited to PT4 and PC. I chose Poker Copilot because of its built-in SharkScope support (SS stats are displayed right in the HUD). Subsequent attempts to get PT4 working were unsuccessful, but that's probably not an issue for most people.

According to a seach I just did, it says "Jivaro" is the best program for a casual play. I am currently just a casual player and want to learn the HUD and improve my game by doing so. Does anyone think that a HUD will do the opposite and affect my live reads, or do you think it will help in the long run? I would love any feedback for either, or both, questions! Thanks in advance everyone. Love, peace and no bad beats!
