What poker software helps

I would like to say that I'm pretty good at live poker but totally suck online. I've tried over and over at it but failed. I never used any 3rd party software. I only play on pokerstars.

What sort of software should I be using? I play mostly tournaments and sit n gos. Whether I have to pay for the software to improve my game or not I am willing too.

online poker is more difficult and requires more skill to beat than live poker for any given stake. For example, 10-25NL online is roughly equivalent to 200-500NL live in terms of the skill required to beat the game.

Tracking software, HUDs, and other simulators, calculators, and tools can certainly help, but only if you put in the time to learn to use them properly -- they won't help at all just by installing them, and applying them incorrectly can make your game even worse.

I would endorse Holdem Manager it has improved my online game enormously.
