Hello everyone. I'm trying to get better at my game and wanted to know if you had any recommendations of software that could help me with that. Right now I do not use any software at all and I do not intend to use any active software while I play (i.e. those programs that show you the stats of players) mainly because I don't think those kind of programs would help me when I play live games.

pd: If you could mention with any recommendation if it's free or otherwise the cost. Thanks.

I have tried HM2 and Jivaro. HM2 it's more costumizable. I find it more adequate for experienced players because of the choice of variables it has. Jivaro, is more straight forward with its graphics, making it more user friendly.

The best ttrining you can obtain can come from poker stars, they have training for amateurs and then they have great strategies for more advanced players, also when you are advancing the training they provide you tickets to test your habilities in tournaments and you can win wonderful prizes ;)

I wrote computer programs a while ago for different uses and noticed that certain players did not deviate from certain styles. At the very least I would recommend trying to learn how to spot a bot or use a bot to play against. I noticed also that there were shills or people playing to fill tables that were subsidized by the card room. This was years ago and I stopped playing. Learn to use every tool that can be useful for you or that can be used against you if you wish to play at your best.

One of the tools I used in the past was sharkscope. It helped me to evaluate certain 'regulars' I would encounter at the tables. Has anyone been using Sharkscope recently and is it worth the price?

There are a lot of training programms, most of them costs a bit but also have trial versions to test them..So depends on which format you play..You play NL cash,Mtts or Sngs?for example, usefull for Sngs and MTTs because of ICM principle,is Icmizer2 and Holdemresources..For a general postflop range analysis a good programm is Flopzilla..And ofc always good and totally free to practice on equities and scenarios against ranges is Equilab by Pokerstrategy..Hope i helped :)
