I am playing mainly MTTS and SnGs, but do like to dabble in cash games, and eventually want to improve my ring game. I have no HUD at the moment. I use MAC OSx as well as Windows 2K - no jibes about the 2K, ok? I know, but I have loads of stuff that I cant afford to update or even replace if I go XP upwards.... - I play on both OS about equally. Is anyone familiar right off the bat with one where I could purchase one license and use it on multiple computers? Is there an all-round software that works Sng, MTT as well as ring? Is there a need to have different programs for every game? How about MTT vs SnG? One program for both? And of course I would like to hear peoples pros and cans on the different programs.
Thanx
And any other programs not names in the Thread Title?

I use Pokertracker3, lots of people use HoldemManager, I think you have to download the trials and see which one you like. I know the license for PT3 can be used on 2 computers, and it does cash and tourneys, and I think there's a Mac version out. Why I like PT3 over HEM? No big reason , really, they're very similar, I just found it easier to navigate and liked the layout and stuff - some people like Mac's, some people like PC's, you know?

^^^Exactly! Great advice! Download both PT3 & HEM and see which one you prefer using. I would recommend doing one for a week and then the other and seeing which you prefer. And of course both of those have forums available to ask questions about what stats mean, how to set up your hud and everything really.

I personally use HEM & love it!!! I think they have a great support staff and are fast to answer questions. The other thing is on my old laptop I couldn't get my HEM to work at all for the trial version and the HEM support staff actually did a TeamViewer session with me, took over my puter, and set it all up and took an an extra hour to talk me through a lot of stuff and answer questions. After they did that, I honestly never even tried PT3 - which was my plan - because I was so impressed with the support staff at HEM.

GL 2 u!

I'm fairly sure that a PT3 licence is good for 2 copies. Are you using boot camp for Windows? Either way I think that still counts as 2 copies. 1 Mac OSX, one Win.

Check PT forums for confirmation though.

HEM's license is also for 2 computers. Not sure whether it would be considered 1 or 2 but that would depend on how they look at it. I would hope you could use it on another computer besides running it on both OSs.

If you are a serious SNG player, I highly recommend SitNGo Wizard. That software will help take your game to the next level and is recommended by Colin Moshman, the author of the definitive book on how to play SNG's.

HEM is also good for 2 copies. And you can buy a removable hard drive with as much GBs as you want on it and put a new OS on there. Then, when you want to play pokers, just play them from the external HD.

Like i replied in your other post. the only vital piece of software you need if your playing sng is sng wizard.. but like i said again. you need to know ICM and how to properly use it... Does anyone want to see a thread on ICM, advanced ICM or how to use SNG wiz properly?
