I Think You would have to buy a windows license and download Bovada on the parallels side in order to run the Hand Converter.

I have looked into the hole parallel thing but it really is a pain/lot of money to to get something so simple to review your hands, let alone a HUD. I know iholdem indicator works but that thing alone is $100 and it just is a HUD no hand reviewing. I have read about the card catcher by the same people that made bovadas hand converter but it only works in cash games right now and you still have to buy HM2 or PT4.

Option 1:
Mac Parallels : $20.00
Windows 7 license: $80.00
PT4: Just Holdem : $100.00
Bovada Hand Converter: Just Holdem: $16.00
Ace poker solutions hand catcher: just for cash games: $40.00
Total: $256.00

Option 2:
iHoldem Indicator:$100.00
Pokeit free 10k of hands that can be reviewed: Free

Option 2 will probably be the way I go. Till some one comes up with a Mac/Bovada friendly option. If that ever happens. Pokeit is nice but I only use it to review specific hands that came up in sticky spots. I have only used it for a month and I'm almost maxed out my free 10K hands. I had the trial version of iholdem Indicator and it was nice but I have yet to pull the trigger and buy it.

If you or any one reading this do try Pokeit out please use this link: http://pokeit.co/signup/1cvXyE
Or not its no big deal :)

Hope this helps you out or anyone out.
Also im not trying to nock any product I'm just cheep ;)

You have to have an operating system. There are some emulators, that will work with some software. We tried unsuccessfully to run HM - it wouldn't fully install .net and some other services that were necessary. It is possible it could work with the hand converter, but it might not.

Actually if you got HM2 standard it would be $100 for parallels and windows, $60 for HM2 and $16 for the converter for a total of $176. Then you'd be able to not only run everything you need, you'd also be able to run other windows software, which is a big advantage. Or that versus getting HI which is $125 not $100. And you are super limited in what you can do and you'd have no windows. So for an extra $50 you got a heck of a lot more.

What about a HUD now? That would be an extra $40 with your new software (Bovada pocket catcher HUD) just for cash games and $40 for tournaments whenever that comes out.

I did not know you could get parallels and windows for $100. Is that a package deal of some kind and if so could you send me a link? Im really interested in this but like a said before I'm ballin on a budget. BR is limited.

Thank you for the quick reply

I'm basing that on what you said. I've seen packages from that price to $150 depending on what you want.

But if you have a mac, you should be used to things being more expensive. Otherwise, get a PC. :) I'm kidding, but I'm not. I mean if you only want just a HUD and no other options then HI is the way to go. If you want to get serious about analysis and learning, then you'll have to invest in a HM2 setup, which will be more but will also give you more options down the road.

HAHAH its my personal/work computer. I might be able to get work to expense the parallels/windows part. Then it would be game on. Plus now that I have a taste of the good life with Mac I will never go back ;)

Bootcamp comes free with the MAC. I like it better than Parallels.

That would work but the only down side to this as I'm sure you know is you have to boot into one or the other, Mac or Windows.

I think having full access to all of the hardware is worth it.
